Their jeans are phenomenal and cheap in price too. Think it was $15 for a pair and they fit well and feel great and last well. I bought some Levi’s from there for a higher price and I don’t like them as much as I like the Kirkland brand. Too stiff and too tight and more expensive.
I also bought two pairs of shorts a few years ago that I absolutely love wearing. I cannot seem to find them anymore and it saddens me because they are sooo damn comfortable.

That’s what I’ve always wondered because most storebrands, including Kirkland, are just rebrands of a name brand. So no idea what company is producing those with Costco/Kirkland slapping their name on it.
But whoever it is, they make some awesome pants.
My guess is that they are made by semi-slaves in a developing country.

Just let people be happy, what the fuck. We consume by nature, it’s unavoidable. No living being has survived without consuming.
The idea the my life is so low stress that I can enjoy simple pleasures? That’s the dream.
Small pleasures like this are what I Iive for.
(Although I’m not a fan of the green tea that my Costco carries, so I don’t buy my tea there.)
Frankly, asides from supporting local business, there isn’t much reason not to get tea from online specialty purveyors these days. It’s not terribly expensive to ship the stuff.

Personally, I actually went and bought a coffee maker that I actually use for tea, and due to the settings on it, it’s the perfect brew every time.
Whenever I want, just toss some loose tea into the top, hit the right size button for my cup and enjoy my favorite plants.

I unironically love earl grey. It’s one of my favorites that I always have on hand.
It came with a few nesting pieces going from a k cup style, fine mesh for instant coffee, and a larger cup for other things I’m not certain of.
The instant coffee mesh on it makes the water stay around the tea long enough for a pretty nice brew. If you add slightly more tea than needed, you can fill a cup with ice for perfect ice tea.
Same. I usually keep a couple sealed bags for an individual cup in my pack, so If I get the chance away from home, I can have some of the good stuff.
It’s gotten kind of expensive near me though, I need to find somewhere I can buy bulk loose tea.
I’ve been working at reducing my caffeine intake off and on for a bit. And thought I’d share a similar thing that I recently discovered. My wife got me a tea advent calendar from Adagio for the holiday and one of them was called “chicoriccino”. It’s a chicory-based coffee alternative with caffeine only from cocoa nibs.
Good flavor, though I’d never claim it’s a “coffee replacement”, just a beverage with a similar flavor category (like apples and nectarines). The big game changer for me was discovering that it brews very nicely in my overly-fancy drip machine and at the same ratios as coffee. So, I can just use my regular coffee scoop and get a nice, no-effort brew. Definitely recommended for anyone who likes coffee-like things.

As a 30 YO with a perfectly functional toilet, but the bowl awkwardly is 1/2" larger than the seat… This hits too close to home.
I need to clean it constantly or have urine splatter on my legs when it’s time for a #2.

Nope, both are oval, the ceramic is just a larger oval than any seat I can find.
You can buy different sizes of oval. Highly recommend looking again

Honestly my forties have been some of the best, most adventurous years of my life. I truly appreciate the important things in life, and I have the means to do things I couldn’t when I was younger.
I’m in my forties and I think every milestone decade has been better than the last. I also wholeheartedly agree with the above statements. I hope you continue to do the things that make you happy and carry on your enjoyment of them :)

It happens, funny thing is, you should have enough experience and be young enough for it to be pretty easy to get a new job and probably a better one. Sometimes these things end up being blessings in disguise…
I did get a new job, but the time unemployed wrecked my financial situation.

Hopefully. I’m in a position of needing to replace some equipment, it’s not cheap. I’m currently too leveraged to buy it on credit, but I only have about a month before what I currently have becomes essentially useless.
I need to find about $3000 dollars to do it, and I’m kind of out of options.
Once that’s taken care of, I can coast and pay bills until something else breaks.
I will say that the new job is fantastic. The people are good, my employer seems to be going in a good direction and they’re clearly growing. I did have to take a small pay cut with this job, only about 3%, but I like the job a lot more, and I’m dropping about 3-4k/yr in expenses. The previous job didn’t pay for parking near the office and didn’t have a parking lot for employees to use. The new job is also WFH, so most of the savings are from gas and parking. In a way, I’m taking more money “home” at the end of the day. Definitely a positive move, but I’m still stuck with a lot of credit card and other debts from my time unemployed, so I’m having difficulty keeping everything paid.
Hopefully I find some money to replace that equipment, and I can settle into a routine to pay back all the losses from being unemployed.
We are obsessed with quantity, but I never hear a good review beyond 50 irl, just a list of pain.
I’ve seen some cool shit and tolerated more than my share of strife. First chronic health problem, I’m out. I’d rather choose when then have it chosen for me.

Considering my retirement is essentially whenever I decide to buy a gun I agree with this.
I’ve been forced to be alive this whole time for my family, but once I hit a medical “wall” I’m out and I just hope whoever is left can understand I can only suffer for so many decades lol
i mean, i hear you on choosing your end, but i have known some folks who enjoyed later life. my mom died suddenly a couple years ago, and she confessed to me over the last couple years that she was ready to go when her time came. that said, i think she was happier in her early 70’s than i had ever known her to be otherwise. and my family certainly doesn’t have money to smooth the way.
i think she just decided to make the most of it, made an effort to enjoy her community and stayed super active. i’m hoping i will handle aging as well as she did.
I feel more or less the same, and agree that we should respect people’s end-of-life wishes.
But FWIW pain management has come a long way. When your doctor first brings you bad news, don’t make assumptions, ask lots of questions and get the details.
I’ve lost track of the number of times I’m “just going to nip and speak to the customer service lot about renewing my membership” just to get a hotdog and coke, and a pizza to take home.
It feels like I’ve “saved” £30 each time.
