s5e25 “In the Cards”
Kira has great, “I don’t get paid enough to deal with this crap” energy.
“My child…”
Fuck you bitch!
death grip on ear
I hate Kai Wynn with a passion. The character is so well written and acted that I had a visceral reaction whenever she made an appearance. Wynn’s manipulation of religion for her own personal gain struck a special nerve with me.
The same actress played an equally despicable character, Nurse
HatchettRatched, in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.Louise Fletcher was an incredible actor and we miss her so.
Nurse Hatchett
Nurse Ratched*
My bad
She’d be the top villain on so many other shows, but DS9 has so many great villains that she almost gets lost.
Yeah it was an all too relatable experience to have to deal with.
My face when I bring the church lady to my manager so he can tell her the same thing I just told her.
Is it “Fuck off”?
I know this story. It is “The Lion, The Witch, and The Audacity Of This Bitch”.
Can’t say I’ve seen a DS9 version of that yet. Well, got a new project. Thanks!
Yay!
“What worries me, my child, is how your poor mother is going to take this.”
- A distillation, resulting in the most horrible line she could possibly say as an actress.
She should wear this shirt everywhere she goes
I know people like deep space nine but I just couldn’t get into the star trek version of a dirty truck stop.
Thank you, this is my discomfort that I haven’t been able to summarize. Can I truly lurk under the tables of tenforward when I feel this way about DS9?
Eh, it’s a personal preference.
Just listen to The Greatest Generation DS9 and you’ll get all the good stuff without having to watch.
When someone is closing on your position with aggressive passivism the only move is to turn around and walk away, apologize later
Mfw I see them, know exactly what they are going to say, and know I am completely protected from their stupid complaint by my boss and/or ironclad paperwork
Sisko when he sees Wynn
“It’s your religion. I’m just the messiah, I don’t believe in it.”
If there is any more powerful move than this, I never saw it.
It’s like they made Paul Atreides in Star Trek, but instead of genociding everyone he’s a Star Fleet officer and just questions the Gods. Then he’s like, fair play if you wanna worship them, I’m just gonna do more science shit.
***Caviet of Sisko killing thousands in the Dominion War, it wasn’t in the name of the entities but my mans did kinda go on a little jihad.
He treats himself with a few war crimes.
But he can live with it.
What’s a little light forgery and genocide between friends?
