I just noticed on my rewatch last year that Neelix is a much more developed character than I gave him credit.

My mind went another direction:

Seeing sad, despondent Neelix hits that much harder. Like when he had to cope with dying and coming back, then realizing his understanding of the afterlife wasn’t what he was brought up to believe.

Totally not worried, just any excuse to showcase my Willie.

Or rather, my appreciation of that character.
