!community@instance.tld
or
/c/community .tld
Both are valid methods and Lemmy will convert it to instance aware clickable links automatically (since v0.18) .
Neat, I didn’t know that the /c notation would work. Let’s give this a try: /c/[email protected]
Interestingly, it tries to auto-complete a username, likely due to the @
This still works better for me as it auto-completes the community name: [email protected]
Yeah, here using wefwef it looks like /c/ does nothing, but !.. is a link that works.
Edit: sorry for the multiple replies. Things seem a bit bumpy right now.
Same in Jerboa.

I like c/community more because the “c” indicates it’s a community. Just like u/user indicates it’s a user.
Depends for who.
For the users, !..
For the software c/…
When you want to link to a community in a post via the webinterface, once you start typing the !.. notation it offers suggestions and when you select one, it’ll insert the display name !.. and set the url to the c/… format.
Searching for a community accepts both notations, you can even subscribe to kbin magazines via their m/… notations ( complete url )
