I don’t know that I am smart enough to know how awkward I am since it took kids bullying me to make me figure it out.
Most of my life, I wasn’t smart enough to know. Now, I think I know, but perhaps not.
I knew once the fact got beaten into me. Kind of hard to deny you’re not “normal” once that happens.
Childhood sucks.
After almost half a century of feeling awkward, I still don’t know … and at this point, I really don’t care any more.
When you can relate to Data, Odo, Seven, and Rutherford and strive to be more O’Brien, Torres, Reno, and Rutherford.

Getting to the point in my life I’m just leaning into it; I AM that awkward dude but I have so much more to offer! Come figure out how deep the awkward rabbit hole goes!
It is hard to know how to do it right when the reason behind the awkwardness is reluctance to admit social interactions are inconsistent and confusing to anyone who really thinks about them.
Plus the same behaviors are awkward or normal depending on the local customs…
