Find a community you like and engage with it. Lemmy is still very new and I’m guessing most people don’t remember early Reddit. It took a few of us posting a lot to get more people into it and make it grow. Or as my counterparts on Risa would say:
Local is my beehaw or Kbin feed, all is federated. Add in threads on Kbin and mastodon and it’s pretty good.
At the very least, there’s as much repetitive content as I had already experienced on the other site but a little more diverse and not quite as curated
how the hell do you even find what to do here, i scroll past most of the daily posts on all in a matter of minutes
Gotta post, comment, and engage more. Also try swapping your sorting by hot, top 6hr, top 12hr, new, etc. if you’re just trying to doom scroll.
I sort by New Comments because I want funny posts but usually comments on funny posts are funny too so that works

After I blocked all the subs that don’t speak English and then a lot of the porn I really only see like maybe 8 subs posting over and over again.
