Personally i am torn on the arc. It is certainly one of the stronger plots in voyager, but at the same time it is also time travel bs and ultimately irrelevant because the successful resolution of the arc just means it never happened and the normal story continues.
I generally dislike time travel plots for exactly this reason, but the story of a man who lost his wife and spends his days trying to change time and the universe at any cost is great scifi.
I loved his plotline, he did a great job acting it too. He could really read too much as Red, but he didn’t
Yep. IMO, Year of Hell is probably the best episode of Voyager and in the top 5 of all Trek, and a Smith was definitely a large part of that.
