That quote is not a exactly ringing endorsement of Binghamton. They have good spiedies there, at least.
One of the few things I miss from Reddit is that random guy from Ireland who posted pictures of his cows.
I think OPs point is that if Indy was burrowing a hole in the desert, and some random started talking to him, Indy probably wouldn’t respond by punching his way out of the hole.
I find LinkedIn useful, but absolutely refuse to install the app on my phone. I figure it’s enough to give them access to my contacts and resume to monetize, they don’t need my location also.
Whenever I get an email notification that I have a LinkedIn message, I check it the next time I am at my desktop. Then, without fail, after I check it they send me a follow-up email reminding me that “LinkedIn is better on the app!”
That just reinforces the idea that I will never, ever install their app.
I play NetHack regularly, but maybe that doesn’t count because it’s under active development again so the most recent stable drop is from last year.
I spent all day trying to make a custard as bright as the sun…
… and then it set.
UPS doesn’t go to every address every day (‘Cept Sundays,) the same way the mailman does.
US Postal Service has some sort of deal with Amazon now, I have gotten Amazon packages delivered by my regular mailman on Sundays. I hope he’s getting paid well for that.
Hahaha, I remember that discussion. The mod originally wanted to ban all pics with a political subject at all, but then figured that people might be assholes and report rainbows and shit. Settled on "any politician from any country " as a compromise.
Sorry, this picture has to go, no matter how interesting it is as capturing an impactful moment in time.
Farmer: oh no, that sounds baaaad

… Is it possible the office is in Southeast London but the actual work is North and West?
A monastery in the English countryside had fallen on hard times, and the monks decided to open a fish-and-chips restaurant. The establishment soon became very popular, attracting people from all over.
One city fellow, thinking himself clever, asked one of the brothers standing nearby, “I suppose you’re the 'fish friar?’”
“No,” answered the brother, straight-faced. “I’m the ‘chip monk.’”

I knew I could never be a lawyer, because I would never pass a bar (without going in).
That’s a good old pun, I have a tear in my eye,
And I’m laughing so hard I might die

The big problem is that it trivially easy to make new tokens, and give them the appearance of a market with fake liquidity. I know people think Smart Contracts are a real innovation, but 99.999999% of the time they are just used to make more crappy tokens.
Crypto advocates say it’s security comes from the network effect of all the nodes working on extending the blockchain, but that security is of little value if it enables scams on higher layers.
