North is determined by the rotation of the planet. The sun sets in the west, and if you are facing west, north is to your right. This is true for any planet/moon and doesn’t have anything to do with magnets.

Alpha Centauri was awesome, but so were a lot of the other games. Colonization was a lot of fun. Call to Power is the civ game I want a real sequel to. Going way into the future tech was a lot of fun, and being able to build cities at the bottom of the ocean.
Of course, I think the whole franchise has gone downhill since Civ IV, so take my opinion as you will.
My county changed the sheriff position from elected to appointed by the county council a few years back. A bunch of people flipped out over it but I think it has been great.
As a side note, why do counties tend to have councils running them instead of an executive, who would get the title “Count”. We need more Counts in America.
Side note. Don’t use hardware acceleration with TDARR. You will get much better encodes with software encoding, which is great for archival and saving storage.
Use hardware acceleration with Jellyfin for transcoding code on the fly for a client that needs it.
If you know what your client specs are, you can use TDARR to reencode everything to what they need and then you won’t have to transcode anything with Jellyfin.
That is why good sushi fish is flash frozen and then thawed before serving. It will kill all the parasites in the meat.
I’ve had it in the states. With good fish it can be good, but I’d take halibut over salmon fried any day.
Reading this makes me want to find a Linux distribution that does not use the gnu stuff at all.
Honestly, copper is a better conductor than gold, which is why you wouldn’t want to make the whole cable out of gold (ignoring price). It works for the connectors because it doesn’t oxidize like copper does which means that the connection between the device and cable will be better.
You MIGHT notice a difference between a gold connector and a normal one with an analog signal, but once you have a digital signal like HDMI, the cable will either work or not. You won’t get a signal degradation like you would with a RCA cable, it just shuts out.
That being said, I have seen gold connector on the fiber TOSLINK cables too. I’m sure those made the light go SO much faster. /s
My favorite thing is when banks don’t allow passwords that have spaces in them or are more than 12 characters long.
Honestly there should be a standard of what security means, like how passwords are stored and how TOTP is implemented, and if a bank doesn’t implement it then THEY are responsible for any “identity theft” that happens on their site, not the users.
I have only seen this episode on DVD, and didn’t know they changed it.
I don’t like that they change anything for streaming, either to remove jokes that didn’t age well or for attempts to upscale or whatever. It reminds me of when they were inserting product placement ads in the background of sitcoms a few years back.
I would say that both osx and Linux are flavors of Unix, not that macs run Linux.
We MUST construct additional pylons.
This makes me want to play the old school Monkey Island games. I know I have a SCUMM emulator around here somewhere.
Wow, I think I had an Okidata modem at one point. I haven’t thought about that in a long time.
I got a Canon MF3010 laser printer a few years back. It is attached to a print server made out of an old Mac laptop I had. It has been great. I can print to it from anything, Mac, Windows, Linux, iOS and I have had to replace the toner once since I got it.
You are being downvoted but HFCS and honey are almost exactly chemically identical. They have to inspect honey farms to make sure it comes from bees since looking at the final product you can’t tell the difference.
I’m American, and honey blend implies to me that it is a mix of different types of honey. Like clover honey and whatnot. Kinda like a Red blend wine is a mix of different wines, not 50% merlot/50% rubbing alcohol or something.
Yeah, but can it run Multifinder?
Don’t confuse the old school glass flat tops with the induction ones. They use different methods and work very differently even though they look alike.
