I bought WinRAR, for a pretty specific reason: It can handle Japanese locale. The assorted games, patches, manga, and so forth couldn’t be handled by 7zip/PeaZip at the time.

Can’t say I feel bad about this, nor for piracy. IMO, copyright shouldn’t be a thing, or least limited to a small chunk of a human lifespan.

I would like to be able to afford my own house. My residence has a hoarder and a messy person, and I am not allowed to clean up. I would like to be able to walk in the laundry room without tripping on clothes, and the front room is filled with trippables. Also, I never went on vacation. The distant shores of Hawaii, Japan, and Egypt will never be known to me. My life has been defined by a lack of fiscal agency.

Here’s hoping that the turmoil of today will allow future generations to have enough wealth to live a satisfied life. At this point, that is all that I can hope for.

I play all kinds of old games, Japanese games that require patching, and use mods. That technical stuff is why I haven’t tried Linux yet, because things are already irksome with a well-known OS. I don’t want to imagine what edge cases on Linux could be.

Unfortunately, I might be forced to make the switch if Microsoft decides to ally with the Trump Regime. 😱

Good call. The odds of Bezos of being part of Vichy America’s cabal is high. A man who prefers their deliveryfolk to piss in bottles and break their bodies in warehouses, is pretty likely to support a war machine that assaults Canada.

It will be important for Canada to divorce itself from as many Vichy services and goods as possible.

I would like a game where we pursue Yarvin’s Cabal, Agent 47 style.

Law only works when the authority, whatever form that takes, wishes to uphold it.

Elon took over the treasury, despite not having the security clearance or congressional oversight. Yarvin’s Cabal does not respect authentic law, and treats it merely as set dressing to justify whatever pleases them.

The left should do the same in kind. Use both force and words, but never mistake the latter to hold weight among those who don’t care.
