I’m glad Mcsweeny and its lists are still going and still humorous. I’d recommend doing a deep dive into the lists going back -even 20 years oh dang it been a while.

And people of whiteness in the global north, as well.
Maybe with the new watch OS it could be on your watch too!
The answer is here somewhere
Moto GP: Here
F1/moto gp: Here
Note, not live streams. I have to avoid social media on race weekends to avoid spoilers (Max wins is a given…)
How can I forget about Lord Latifi?
I’m partial the term ‘wonder kill’ for when one does look it up.
Smart stacks kept coming back on my phone. I’d delete it, put the one widget I want and the next day, Smart Stack. I do not want a Smart Stack, I do not want a stack at all. I just wanted clock and weather, every night it was all different.
By automatically creating a Smart Stack and adding the AppStore, then ‘intelligent scroll’ to it, without user input, is pretty close to spamming ads.
I’ve been using Wipr for a long while now, seems to be fairly light weight. Haven’t noticed any slowing really. Also dark night and Amplosion extensions.
Wipr is one of the few app I’ve paid for as it seems to just work.
Not too many residents … under 50k. Many regular folks can’t afford to live there anymore- like many, many places. The old artisans are gone, replaced by generic mass produced nick-nacks. The majority of apartments are tourist rentals, and even the quiet neighborhoods are becoming less quiet.
It may not be a tourist trap, so to say, but it is treated like an amusement park and not respected as ancient city/settlment and community as it should by many of the visitors.
Having said all that, it is also one of my favorite places to be. I’ve been lucky to have family there and be able to visit a fair number of times of the years.
Even easier-fajitas : onions and bell peppers cut about even and cooked for a bit in a bit of oil ( even a splash of water works) with a packet of fajita spice mix from the store. Cook a little longer for less crunch). Rotisserie chicken for the meat. Tortillas and cheese slices with rice if you want- boil in a bag is a-ok.
Or try frozen veg + golden brand Japanese curry. Same chicken and rice as above.
Stir fry is easy, but tricky to master the different cooking times. (These dudes might be selling themselves short, but who knows)
Happy 11th anniversary of your 37th birthday!
Who can afford blinker fluid in this economy?!
He didn’t build it, but yea his name is on it because of his money. Not that PR money means he has morals. Although, it is a hospital for real human people, not other lizard types.
Good to hear. Thanks
For me there is one must have. I’d like to be able to sideload some apps without the weekly refresh. Can any beta testers say if this is a thing as they said may be?
Is Altstore working on Sonoma or iPadOS? I see it is in iOS 17, but I’d like not to be limited to one device.
I’m usually down to update right away, but my add free YouTube is pretty key to my sanity at the moment.
Jello and Ice cream.
Little cubes of jello (I had red) with a vanilla or neutral-ish ice cream.
I was skeptical, as two tasty things don’t always mesh, but this was too intriguing to pass up, I’m glad I did not.
Same, was so stoked to finally get a wii, a refurbished trade in, after about a year after release. Our local GameStop never had any. I did have a lot of fun with the wii, but now I have to emulate those sweet sweet nostalgia feels. That Wind Waker and Metroid sound tracks just hit something inside. And Cubivore is a G.D. masterclass in ridiculous, silly fun.
I’ve had groups of ‘old’ posts pop up. 3Y, 2Y 10months. That is 3 or 4 posts all quite old, surround by newer posts. Keep scrolling, another group of old posts. All the comments are less than a day old. Also sorting all by hot. Both Voyager (neé wefwef) and Memmy (for Lemmy).
Not weird communities either, ones like Reddit - the one you posted- and also Zelda, antiwork, metal…
While I agree with this, we still bought the thing knowing it’s not the case…
