I cannot give you any recommendations as to what to do but what I did was stop giving a damn about what my family thinks if it affects people in a negative way.
I’m working very hard on my ability to not give a damn about not just what my family thinks, but strangers too. It’s much easier said than done unfortunately.
I’m convinced I’ll never stop giving a damn what people think in general, but I’m sure you can agree that there’s quite a difference between your family and people you don’t know.
