Weird downvotes, but ok. It was $5, which is far less than I'd spend on filament prototyping it, let alone time considerations.

The great thing about kbin and lemmy is you can see who down-voted you. It definitely wasn't me. I was just joking around about spending money on stls.

As someone who only ever accesses lemmy with jerboa, I had no idea that info was visible, thank you for mentioning that

So if I go to the web interface I can see upvotes and down votes? Is it only visible for my posts and comments?

It's a bit weird. Only Kbin has the functionality built in to see who is giving upvotes or downvotes. The information is technically public on Lemmy too because of how federation works, there's just no way to see it in the web UI or apps.

There's a problem though. Downvotes don't federate between Lemmy and Kbin, so we can only ever see downvotes from other Kbin users here. If someone on Lemmy downvotes something, I'd never even see the count change and wouldn't be able to see who did it.

Edit: from my view, no comments in this thread have any downvotes.

                Weird, and good to know.

There's a Lemmy contingent who feels that nothing digital should ever be paid for, and communicate this through downvotes. I also felt this way when I was a teen, but being in a position to support creators voluntarily is something that I take great pride in now.
