      Just don’t tell her that coffee falls under replicator rations, lest you find yourself “Tuvixed” or have your matter added to the buffer for use like Soylent Green.

        She complains about having to use her ration on coffee in one episode. Presumably that’s why they divert to the coffee nebula.

    This scene made me wonder how effective recycling is in Trek. If a pocket watch can be recycled to make a meal or boots, well damn, that’s like 500% effectiveness?

    So they can make new shuttles just by recycling old shuttles or anything else, and always have more shit left over.

        I just assume on the between episodes tone they’re gathering dilithium and rare metals that they can’t replicate efficiently.

        Efficiency isn’t that important when you’ve got a warp core and can frequently find fuel.

          Voyager some times stops to mine deuterium so they can refuel and replicate more stuff.
