The character of Valaris was apparently originally envisioned as a return of Saavik.
As one of the few/many/dozens? of people who really liked Robin Curtis as Saavik, I’ll always wonder what might have been. Would have been good to keep that arc going, even if she would have ended up a traitor.
It would have been a more interesting reveal for sure, but I would have been curious how they could explain it in a justifiable way
I was going to make a joke along the lines of, “my friends say I’m the Lt Valaris of the group” until I realized that would be them calling me treasonous.
But only in a logical fashion
