Farina is cream of wheat, not flour. Also afro-latin is the dominant culture in the Dominican Republic, so I don’t think this is stereotyping in the way you think it is, or in the way it would be if a white-dominated corporation used this branding
That’s just part of the joke, because “radical centrists” (far-right that likes to gaslight liberals and the left to take the moral high ground) like to pretend the two are the same.
My bad for not seeing the small text about cream of wheat. I found this while cleaning out my home and thought of you guys.
I’m not offended or anything, I just think it’s funny that this sort of thing is so normal here but so frowned upon up North.
In my anecdotal experience, most people here are light brown, and get somewhat offended if you call them black. Being really dark is associated with being Haitian, and people are kinda racist towards Haitians.

Yeah, this feels very much like people getting mad at Crayola have ‘nergo’ crayons.
Now I want a flour named “White as a fucking cracker flour”. (I’m white, I can make these kinds of jokes.)
I’m pretty sure non white people can make that joke as well

It also says crema de trigo (cream of wheat) under El Negrito
