I’m using sync myself, but I think most of the lemmy apps have the feature by now

Right now, this is analogous to having an active shooter walking around gunning down people, and a random person safely elsewhere saying ‘Don’t shoot him, he has rights!’. No, people are actively suffering and dying. Fix the emergency first, then consider the ramifications.
I believe in the tolerance social contract. You deserve rights so long as you respect the rights of others. Kiwi farms has absolutely no respect for anybody’s rights, and hence does not deserve any themselves.
I would argue it’s probably interesting for most people, as evidenced by the other comments. Also, you’re making a mountain out of a molehill, this is a one time thing that you could have just ignored for a few days
You’re probably being downvoted because nobody is drawing any comparisons to the Apollo missions, except yourself. You’re defending a point nobody else is making.
The only cost comparison to other space missions I’ve seen is a one liner from the article which compares it to a current day Falcon launch. Which is a reasonable comparison and data point.
Can we not have the hundred identical stupid jokes in the comment section like we did in reddit?
5 figures and counting on Factorio. Do not recommend, gets somewhat repetitive after a while.
Seems like many people aren’t aware that’s an option
You don’t get it. I KNOW he was referring to Americans. My comment is entirely meant as a reminder that America is not the world, and the rest of us exist. I don’t understand why you have a problem with that.
Can you point to the part of his post that specifically states he’s talking about the US only? The entire point of my reply was just to remind everybody that the US is not the only country in existence.
The original statement is that only wealthy Americans will get it. That’s categorically wrong, as many people outside the states have no problem affording modern healthcare. Either he’s forgotten there are countries outside the states, or he thinks the healthcare system worldwide is as screwed up as it is in the states.
The NYT is one of the biggest, most recognised publications worldwide. If they don’t meet your requirements, I don’t think that’s a realistic expectation
I look forward to everybody outside the states being able to access it as well.
Yes he is. Everybody outside the states will get it too
Nah you’re overthinking it. Grab a beginner friendly distro like Mint and just start using it. All this is fanboy talk that can be interesting but doesn’t affect 99% of users.
