yeah I wouldn’t use it for doing the whole thing, but have been using it here and there to help me figure out why I’m getting errors and how to solve them. As a newbie programmer it helps guide me back to the right path.
However… even that doesn’t work all the time because it’s still not smart enough to isolate issues coming from imports, plus some other minor hiccups.
I haven’t listened yet but this relates to something that’s been bugging me and I haven’t found the right place to write it. This is also part of why I never got into TikTok in the first place. I did have a TikTok account for a few days and tried to see what the hype was about after all these years. But I was immediately turned off by the fact that after a video plays it goes down straight to the next one. It’s not like Insta where you can control the speed at which you scroll through the content. It forces speed onto you. I could only use the app for a few minutes before getting overstimulated and overwhelmed and had to close it. I never installed it again.
It all comes back to the manifestations of this need for efficiency. There’s cultural pressure to consume the next content chunk, while incentives or abilities to stop and savor things have been removed.
I keep thinking of Thoreau’s advice to “simplify, simplify.” Corporations wanna keep adding all these extra features that supposedly increase efficiency but they just create complications and headaches for their users.

I’m with ya, I prefer to just read a macroblog post, too. More accessible and easier for sharing.
It’d be super cool if we could connect article-hosting services with the power of activitypub or something but like one of those commenters mentioned, the issue would always be spam and security.
Listen to independent radio stations. Usually can find a stream link online and plug into a music player app.
I love Bottles. When in doubt, that always works.
There are still a lot of games that don’t work for me, even with Proton on Steam. Lutris has just straight up never worked for anything. Managed to get some going with the Heroic Games launcher, but not all. I think it’s either a DirectX problem or something with the drivers. I’m not nearly techie enough to know how to even approach solving the problem, just maybe identifying it. I hope you figure it out so we can all get to playing our favorite games.
