My daughter is an archer. I have asked her this question many times.
This is awful…
And I can’t stop laughing
I’ve been on my project for 23 years. I haven’t written production code for ten of those years. There are still commits in the production branch with my name on them. Is both gratifying and mortifying.
I was talking with two other “old-timers” today about our inability to pay off tech debt because our teams are never given the time to do it
My ex and I saw Rob Roy in the theater together. She has never been able to watch Tim Roth since that film.
I have read through book 10 twice. I have listened through book 10 once (currently half way through).
While I love Horatio Hornblower, I love Honor more.
I do not read science fiction. It’s just not my thing, but when War of Honor was published, Baen published it with a CD of all the prior books bound into the cover. I thought this was a cool thing to do and wanted to support it, so bought the book with no intention of actually reading it.
Well that plan didn’t work out.
You’ll discover as you get deeper into the series that even Honor knows she’s literarily related to Hornblower.
My daughter helped me design one. It arrived last week.
Did you let them know you use Arch?
Make it happen! It was so far ahead of its time
I was a dedicated OS/2 user for many years. I still miss REXX.
Apparently SNL can still be hilarious sometimes.
I’m unsure philanthropist means what you think it means.
Yes. I have no problem with people who don’t like Jerry Krause, but I have a huge problem with those who would disparage him in front of his widow. That’s decidedly vile and far far below the belt.
Such fucking vile behavior.
I’m 6’6", I’ve always wanted a dog that could put its paws on my shoulders and look me in the eye.
That dog looks like it could do that!
I did mine closer to 20 years ago, I’m guessing things might have changed a bit since then. That said I ran Gentoo on an IBM ThinkPad for about five years before switching to OSX.
After you’ve done Linux from scratch, Gentoo is a walk in the park
When I was growing up we had a little black mutt named Sootie. Around 8th grade I decided that Sootie should learn to play the piano, so I showed him how to get up on the keyboard. Arm of the couch to the piano bench, to the keyboard.
This became one of my mother’s favorite parlor tricks when we had company, “play the piano Sootie!” And off he would trot and go run down the keyboard.
Sometimes when he felt he was not getting the attention he deserved he’d go and play without being told.
My absolute favorite AC game. My wife just got me Sideshow’s Edward Animus statue for my birthday. It’s stunning.
