Tutorial: or everything into airports and long-distance routes, you’ll make more money than you can spend. 🤷 At least, that’s how it was when I stopped playing it.
Am definitely human.

What’s with all the back slashes? \ why not use a regular…
…line break?
While you’re listing a ton of authors, for those of us (🙋) less well read it unfortunately doesn’t convey much about which styles or what content you like.
So I’m going to take a few shots in the dark here.
Have you read many online novels? I would recommend Worm (parahumans.wordpress.com) for its sheer length as well as its very different take on what a world with super powers might look like. I would also recommend Ra (qntm.org) for its very interesting approach of treating magic as an established branch of engineering. Both get sorta wild near their ends, but imho they are very well written.
Yes, I’ve been on Norwegian Dvorak since 2002 or so.
Biggest problem I’ve had is with keyboards and OS’es (cough 🍎) that don’t support the Insert key, because (a) I cut my teeth on the DOS editor and (b) XCV are all over the place on this layout.
I will always use a proper full size keyboard if at all possible. Those 60% and whatnot are not for me (it’s bad enough when they move the arrow keys).
Oh, and the languages insisting on ${} characters are a pain on any non US layout.
Correct, it is not.
I’ve been extremely fond of “Our Groceries” for many years. It strikes a sweet spot between features and simplicity of use, and the devs are very responsive and have added several features after my suggestions. Really the only downside right now is that it can’t use the front facing camera on my wall mounted android tablet for scanning barcodes.
If someone asked me Who are you? I’d want to answer […] but I wouldn’t because I’d presume whoever was asking implicitly asking about my social intersectionality, because from there, they can map […], so I’d answer “[…]”. From this, […] I’d hope they’d unpack my values from my social intersections
O. M. G.
I am blown away by this. In the way that the first moments of a good film says so much more than what’s on screen, this “intro of a person” is such a beautifully crafted, rich description that I’m left thinking you’ve spent a long time polishing that to such perfection.
Me? I’m likely to simply give my name and profession, or possibly my reason for being at whatever gathering we meet at.
This is to say: is it “normal” for (“normal”) people to be able to give such eloquent descriptions? Because I feel like a right dunce in comparison.
For reference, I am not diagnosed with autism, but am certainly struggling with something in this crazy world (and can relate to what I’ve read about alexithymia ).
What a fantastic perspective! I love not going fishing.
Your user name is fantastic, by the way. Built anything interesting recently? 🐬
Good bot.
I am so happy to see some of the useful bots make a reappearance here. And you got yourself quite the nifty name, too.
“I understood that reference!”
(also, I feel old…)
I am amazed that anyone can browse the web or watch YouTube without ad blocking.
Right? It’s so good to know there are still other reasonably people out there.
Whenever I see someone (nearly anyone) else’s phone or pc being absolutely inundated with ads I can’t help but wonder if they’re allright in the head. There are so many mobile games that I never knew were ad-ridden until I saw them on someone else’s screen … eg. Wordfeud, there’s apparently a video ad playing each time you submit a word. Wtaf…
“pop!”
It was tragic and hilarious at the same time, when they grabbed their heads and said that. Even moreso when it was dozens of them.
As someone who’s not using qwerty, this never happens to me (regardless of OS) - people take one look at my keyboard and then go find their own computer. Which I count as a win-win.
Thank you for bringing that sound back to life. I have a special love for the Image Writer II, as I think it represents the absolute pinnacle of 80’s industrial design (regardless of brand or industry). And it’s a damn fine printer, too.
On the other hand, the acoustics of that damn keyboard? Euch, don’t miss that at all.
On my old android phone, I have a beautiful 24 hour clock (app and widget) which is unfortunately no longer available in the play store.
Just saying, it exists if you know how to look for it. It was named, believe it or not, “24 Analog Clock Widget”.
