They’re just fun little nods to PlayStation’s history. Previous AstroBot games have been fun little 3D platformers, with little tidbits that pay tribute to the PlayStation and its various controllers and accessories and even major series.

This is just saying that there are going to be a ton of references, hinting at the scope and budget of the game.

I’m glad it’s doing well! I’ve never been able to wrap my head around 3D fighters; does anyone have any specific tips for a primarily SF player to adapt to Tekken? I tried 7 and just never got far.

RGG Studio has been stellar, but yeah, I haven’t really played much else from Sega lately.

You realize that AAA is used to refer to the budget, scale, and expectations of the game, right? And that it’s more of a reboot than a remake, meaning it’s probably not going to be an arcade style game. They’re talking about their aims for the game, and trying to justify charging $60-70 for it beforehand.

I used to type like that a lot, back in the era of AIM and FB chat being my primary social and communication outlets. Not sure why, but if I had to point fingers, I’d say it was an attempt to look not-too-tryhard and to emphasize the feeling of it being like a chat. It’s off the cuff, not super planned or thought-out or composed.

Great game, would highly recommend it to anyone who has fond feelings for JRPGs.

I understand Jaffe not being happy that the games are going in a different direction than he imagined, but he’s also the guy who thought Drawn to Death needed to be made.

This is his punishment for Total Forgiveness, where he had to go up and do a stand up routine. I think the full footage of it is listed as a separate thing from the episode it happened in, though.

I heard Chris mention this when GiantBomb had him on their podcast a week or two ago. It seems like a wild time.

From my handful of visits to HK, I’m pretty sure it’s just the 3 major banks that print the money?

If you play on a separate account specifically to play in a different skill range, then that would be smurfing. But if you play through the calibration games on that account to your best ability, then it should place you roughly where your other account would be within a handful of games.

When I was losing weight, tracking my progress on things like running and weight helped me stay consistent with it. Every time you exert yourself, it’s towards a goal, and if you can track your progress it feels less pointless.

This is why I’m the rules guy in my board game group. I sit down, absorb the rulebook, think about edge cases and check online for answers, simulate a game on my own, and then I get everyone together to sit down and learn the game.

Turns out the ability to hold the rules to like 6 different board games in my head, while not vital for daily life, is a superpower that I intend to fully use.

Ah, okay. My bad. Yes, it should probably sound something like that. At least, the consistent “Ratatan” chants (or variations thereof). Some of the higher, more meaningless screaming happens, but at least it’s not 3 out of every 4 quarter notes. If you catch some Patapon 2 videos, you’ll see what I mean.

IF it comes to PC, you can use a Steam Deck or similar handheld PC.

If it comes to Switch, there’s that. And I think Sony has something for streaming a PS5 to a handheld device?

I mean, it’s basically the same as Patapon’s audio design.

I’ve never played the Suikoden games. Are they worth a playthrough at this point in time?

Okay, this seems cool! I hope it catches enough eyes, because the multiplayer side is going to live or die by its playerbase.

This week has been keeping up with Honkai Star Rail dailies. I haven’t done the new patch content yet, but I’m just spending my energy getting resources and leveling my team.

Beyond that, I’ve been grinding some casual matches in Street Fighter 6. My local card shop is hosting a small tournament on Saturday, and I at least want my BnB combos to land. I don’t think I’ll win, but playing in Platinum is at least showing me where my weaknesses are.

Last but not least, I got Baldur’s Gate 3 for the early access bit. It’s fun, if a bit slow, and can be pretty punishing. Not sure if I’ll play the full game by save scumming or just living (and dying) with the consequences of my actions.
