Yeah same, its been almost 10 years for me. I briefly tried other options like brave, but kept coming back to Firefox
Worth a shot, you can always dual boot to try it out to start with 🙂
I don’t know your use case, but I’m less skilled with computers than you (I’m currently trying to build my first ever home server as a hobby) and i can use it easy.
Do it bro, I switched 5 years ago after being too fed up with windows, and I’ve never looked back
My first impression was that they were Korean
I had a friend like that too, he was Sri Lankan and took offense that he was somehow not included in the blanket term of Asian. I’ve since learnt it’s possible to be more specific and say South Asian for countries such as India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka etc, and south-east Asian for countries like Thailand, Korea, Indonesia, Philippines etc
Maybe you should read the manual on how to reply to a Lemmy comment
Yes exactly! Linux has its pitfalls, but the pitfalls of Linux are far more tolerable for me than the shortcomings of windows.
Macs I can’t speak for because I’ve never tried, but they seem overpriced
I started using Usenet about a year ago and much prefer it. Once you have you it set up it’s very straight forward to use, and means you don’t have to worry about maintaining your ratio, or making sure your vpn doesn’t drop out, or piratebay going down etc etc
I’ve been using nothing but Linux for 5 years and I still have problems every now and then.
I’m not gonna say I know much about his history, but I am surprised so many people are jumping to take his side in this debacle. I would’ve thought in this day and age that people would be a bit more sceptical of CEOs.
Without knowing the real reasons behind it, it’s very difficult to hold an opinion on the board’s decisions
What’s with the “Ha ha ha ha” cartoon figure at the bottom
Yep I had the misfortune of seeing the child porn, I reported all of it. First time in 3 months so it’s not that bad really
If Linux was fine, then I wouldn’t have gone to the trouble of looking for an alternative and taken the time to teach myself Linux. I don’t know anybody else who uses it so it’s not like somebody twisted my arm
I’ve wondered that myself. I don’t have kids but after looking at all the symptoms a lot of them fit, and a couple of friends have told me they “just assumed I was on the spectrum” when I brought it up recently. I had no idea, but I don’t see much use in getting diagnosed now I just turned 40…
Seems to me that it took a huge amount of time and resources to reach the new score, and I’m guessing they don’t have the budget to do the same for every model
Frugal Usenet works great for me
