I laughed way too hard at this lmao

I mean, they are located in Japan, so it’s not like Yakuza don’t exist (though to be fair Yakuza don’t really target foreigners).
There are dozens of us!
People buy into the BS sold by companies, they eat it all up without thinking twice about it. It’s easier to point fingers at each other than at companies when companies are paying so much money to attack end-users.
Nah there were definitely games that had disappointing graphics relative to what I was expecting lol
Although it’s true, we generally were more forgiving about graphics back then than we are these days.
Is the source code for HG/SS the latest or is it from an earlier build?
No other company aggressively goes after its fans quite like Nintendo does. Nintendo have not only gone after fan projects made by fans showing their love for their beloved games, but also gone after community-run tournaments that in no way affect Nintendo, etc. Nintendo are pretty awful.
Gen 4 was peak IMO, both the new Pokemon were excellent as well as the best remakes ever made. Gen 4 has Platinum and HeartGold SoulSilver which are the best games in the series.
That has to be a real wake up call to Nintendo.
That’s optimistic thinking. Nintendo doesn’t learn, they just bulldoze.
They really, really, really, really earned it.
I think it is fair. When you buy games through GOG, you get the offline installer. Nobody can take that away from you.
When you buy games through Steam, you can only install them via the Steam client. If the Steam servers are offline, you cannot install your games. In theory, some games are without any DRM, and you can just zip them up, but even then that doesn’t always work, and you shouldn’t have to. That’s not to take away from Steam, of course, it is great at what it does.
Providing an offline installer that works no matter what is as good as “owning” the game IMO, even if “technically” you are just purchasing a license to use the game.
True, that’s a good point. Well, two good points.
Yeah but if I replace them, it’s not like I get my saves back, right?
Yeah, I could also use my DSLite to dump GBA saves at least. My GBC saves are unfortunately all long gone because the batteries dried up.
It is really cool being able to dump save games, so if these multi-dumpers can do so, that’s amazing.
Nintendo doesn’t even care about that so tbh fuck em.
Honestly, as cool as this is, I just keep collections of downloaded entire game libraries like PS1, PS2, PSP, 3DS, NDS, GB, GBC, GBA, NES, SNES, etc.
I’m more interested in preserving my save games, which I can dump myself on my modded 3DS for 3DS and NDS games, plus my PSP I can just copy paste those save games from the memory card. Those are more what is really irreplacable. Everyone has my games, not everyone has my save games.
They should have added a battle tower, that’d add a lot more replay value and keep people coming back years later.
Source: Pokemon games like the DS generation of Pokemon games.
My PS4 controller doesn’t even pair to my Linux desktop, I’ve tried just about everything you can think of but it only works via USB cable. My Xbox 360 controller, Xbox One X, and Xbox Series X controllers all work on Linux just fine and work better on Linux than they would on Windows thanks to xpadneo.
Still impressive imo, I have friends who work in IT who don’t even self-host lol
I mean, Pierre already said he’s going after porn, so it will be interesting to see how that plays out.
