Luckily, this is still a free country and we don’t need a reason for shopping elsewhere.
When Pierre Poilievre is elected with his Loblaws lobbyist employee, he might force us to shop at Loblaws. For freedom.
Whether 'tis nobler to grow wealth and gain
The finer things in life, or to undertake
A change of sex against a sea of doubters
And by opposing, gain pride. To be a man,
And face the trials of a fluctuating market,
Or become a woman, and embrace
The beauty and the freedom of another self.

And, if they do end up with excess profits, they pay it back to Co-op members.
The image reminds me the RBC just bought HSBC, reducing our options and tightening the oligopoly. I was a customer of HSBC, but I’m not grumbling about RBC because I switched to another smaller bank. I’m not willing to fund their executive bonuses.
This is also what I suggest. I moved from WordPress to Grav. It’s good, but a lot of work to customize.
Here’s a very useful resource of code snippets to make your website attractive and functional, without aCMS. https://www.w3schools.com/howto/default.asp
Fuck Pierre Poilievre. With a wire brush.
I use the GL.inet Shadow and have been happy with it. If you want 5Ghz and don’t mind that it’s a little larger (still small), I’d consider the Slate. It supports the latest version of OpenWRT. https://openwrt.org/toh/gl.inet/gl-ar750s
They include a custom GUI on top of OpenWRT, which I like. But LuCI is still there.
I’m planning to start with a self-hosted option, but if I get tripped up, that sounds like a good plan B.
I used to use your strategy. It works fine. But since I migrated to Nextcloud on a VPS, I use the next cloud password manager. It keeps a copy of the database stored on my device.
I own an early model of Brother Ink-vestment printer. I’ve been happy with it. It prints wirelessly from all my apple devices.
I think another comment already said what I was going to suggest: get a router with family controls. I use an ASUS. It works, but it’s not really easy to use. Newer models or other companies might be easier.
This is self-hosted. So you could also consider OpenWRT. It’s not user friendly, but it’s powerful.
I’ve already been removed as a mod. Oh no! Anyway…
More time to scroll through Lemmy now.
This is disrespectful to mods. I work for free, and Reddit makes money from gfs product? That’s not how capitalism works (anymore/yet).
And it was free for everyone in 2020.
