I still believe their naming conventions has destroyed the brand.
Grandma that wants to buy a toy for their kids can go to the store and buy the next PlayStation. Xbox… which one do they buy? They don’t, they buy the easy option.
Unfortunately, I don’t have a good answer for you.
I built a new Pc last year and decided to put win11 on it to judge the OS for myself. In all reality, it doesn’t feel much different than win10. Boot up is fast, startup is fast, everything just works.
Sorry I can’t provide more info.
Why would I acknowledge an issue that doesn’t exist for me?
You are barking up the wrong tree here bud. I use the right tool for the job, for me that means windows for my personal machine, Linux for work or special purpose machines. And Mac to write code.
Not sure what point you are trying to make here.
I’m not having any computer problems.
PEBKAC
I wouldn’t know how that feels. Did it once and haven’t had an issue since.
I think some people here like to shit on windows just to shit on windows and haven’t actually used win11
Also not an issue when you disable this in windows.
They want the unicorn, they will settle for a horse with a horn taped to its forehead.
Simple answer, unit tests.
The answer, as with everything in software development, is that it depends.
A god method with 100 optional params that is usually bad practice. But a common pattern is to allow for an options object to be passed, and that object may contain 0-n supported parameters. This pattern is used everywhere, see graphql as a widely used library that is based on this.
Ok. I’ll try to put it more simply for you.
The essay she is going to submit is not her words but yours.
Yes. You should have made her sit with you and redo the entire assignment. Not as punishment, but as rectifying the mistake as she would have had to do had she been the typist.
Treat it as a learning moment and not as punishment.
Look at how you’ve handled this situation so far. Seriously, step back and take a look at it.
First, we can skip the typing for her because that’s been discussed to death. But then, when you found the mistake, you immediately started typing again and even called it cheating because you were trying to sound like a 13 yr old girl. You are teaching her that using any means necessary to get a good grade is acceptable.
Next, you are trying to blame the software and not take responsibility for your mistake. This is teaching her not to take responsibility but to instead find something else to blame for mistakes.
No, you should not punish her for your mistake, but you should instead teach her how to handle mistakes.
I guarantee that this will happen to her in the future when she is typing her own work. She will get mad, blame the software, then cheat to get a good grade. This is what you’ve taught her.
What educational purpose would making her do the whole thing again serve?
Learning from mistakes. Learning that when you screw up, you don’t get a free pass to fix your mistakes. Learning to save frequently when working on a document. I can go on and on.
You are coddling your child and I feel bad for her.

Exact same thing happened to me. Group project needed a programmer, I was a gamer with a nice computer so I volunteered. 15 years later and I’m a software engineer at a huge company.
Because it is actually a decent game and is a lot of fun to play. The story is silly, as expected. Combat and movement are a ton of fun.
My only current complaint is the missions are a bit repetitive.
Suicide Squad.
I started last night after work and had to force myself to go to bed. The movement and combat in the game are a ton of fun and giving me Doom Eternal vibes. Dancing around the battlefield, using the right attack on the right npc, and just making things explode.
It’s damn fun.
Wow, you really got everyone in the comments. Well played.
Here’s your free “whoooooosh” award as your joke went flying over everyone’s head.
I laughed, but caddy shack always makes me laugh.
