i’d argue that a console running linux would be a PC, even if it’s plugged into your living room tv

it’s maybe not just getting bumped, but being locked tight in a fish tank with too many others, and then getting bumped constantly.
i can relate to this shark every time I visit a night club
i love the idea, but p2p filesharing laws are quite strict where i live. i wouldn’t feel 100% safe even using a private tracker, i’ll have to stick to debrid services to cover my ass
If this became a copyright case in Japan and palworld won it could change the law on copyright fair use
not every country has case law. most of Europe is eg using “code law”, which means a precedent doesn’t change the law, but only applies to the one specific case with all its specific context and circumstances taken into account. under slightly different circumstances, a judge may rule differently
i’m not touching your stick man, gross!
my grandad used to buy fresh milk from a farmer around the corner - until he got salmonella from it and almost died

ich glaube es kommt von der Bibel übersetzung aus dem Lateinischen - die Sprache unterscheidet zwischen Landtieren (carne) und Wassertieren (ich glaub pesce?), und am Karfreitag ist nur “carne” verboten

or, you know, lemmy? it’s not that much different from forum software, is browsable and federated
But it’s quite thick for a phone, isn’t it? How do you pocket a 5cm/2 inch thick phone? It’s more bulky than any regular phone
I was thinking about phones, having a “flip phone” without a crease which is “normal size” when opened would be cool. For tablet use the gap admittedly sucks
I wouldn’t mind foldable phones having two separate screens with a minor gap between them - you’d avoid getting an ugly growing crease over time like with the current screens, and with a proper hinge design you could make them thinner too probably
i’d differentiate it by the kind of it’s ui. linux will still feel like a desktop operating system, made for mouse and keyboard, whereas the console has a controller friendly interface. probably not much of an issue if you boot into steam directly through.
genuinely curious, is there any linux DE that is optimised for being connected to a tv and controlled by remote/gamepad from the couch?
