Thanks for the tip
I feel like this questionnaire is missing one rather obvious path:
I’m not using Lemmy because I prefer it over Reddit in any way. It has more technical problems, it lacks the niche communities that Reddit is famous for, the community is more toxic and rather extremists, and it is a splintered mess
However,
It’s not really a matter of choice. I simply can’t browse Reddit on mobile anymore. I’m not blind or anything, but the official app is simply not useable at all. Even the FOSS POS apps of Lemmy are better, and that’s saying something
It’s not a matter of preference. It’s a matter of necessity
Kinda disingenuous to your employer to spend your billed hours doing chores around the house tbh
That was also my experience with Firefox. I tried it one time because I kept hearing it was better than chrome, and then the absolute first thing I noticed is that they can’t get tab dragging right.
I don’t care how much more “private” it is than chrome. If you can’t even get the first impression on absolute basic UI elements right, I simply have no faith in your browser
Maybe I’ll use Firefox when it matures a bit
You mean like how you fully purchased a premium account?
I wonder why there are no laws against eforced, unilateral contract adjustments like this. Especially considering “no ads” was an explicit part of the original purchase
