I put it to you that ideals may constitute a scratchable itch.

I suppose the thing is, I personally wouldn’t care much if anyone else used it or not, my itch has been scratched. If someone else finds it of use, great! If they need changes, they’ve got the code and can get crackin’ on it themselves. Or, they can pay me to do it if we can agree on a price. Outside of that I have no expectations.
As I understood it, one of the foundations of open source development is scratching your own itches, then putting what you made up for grabs in case it scratches someone else’s. There shouldn’t be any expectation of support on your part beyond an email or two. The code’s out there if they want to scratch the itch a different way. It’s kind of a homesteader ethic.
Oh hell no. I’ve seen how he manages his money. Like fuck I’m letting him anywhere near mine.
Assuming it's official material, contract issues. When Terry left the show, they no longer had likeness rights for her. Hence no Jadzia, not even in the flashbacks in the final ep. The studio either wasn't willing or just couldn't afford what she was asking. This is all hearsay but I trust the source (greatest gen podcast).

I've worked in software development for over 20 years, and I stand by what I said. If you're that tied to a specific implementation, you've fucked yourself and you deserve to fail. You can copy most of your resources over, the rest is just a matter of porting your logic.
Yeah, you're still out in left field. If you're telling me that your studio can't handle sub-optimal returns while they swap out one (one!) piece of your development stack, then you have no business being in business.

They can finish up those projects and then move on to another engine. We shouldn't encourage a hostage situation where we have to stay with an untrustworthy platform just because they have a metaphorical gun to some developers' heads.
So long, ya greedy dumb bastard.
Surely you've heard about that one time at band camp
AI is actually the king of bullshit. It might give you some code, but will it compile? Probably about as well as an AI art knee would actually bear your weight.
Depends on how hard you scratch! lol
