Scam callers and all those issues you listed are probably a statistic. These assholes scam seniors out of millions (probably billions worldwide) if someone loses their money, and can’t afford their mortgage or rent, they are much likely to end up on the street.
Reddit won guys. They won a lower valuation lmao.
I played through Divinity Original Sin EE on the deck with absolutely no issues when I was bed ridden due to an illness. Trackpads make the experience good.
Marty’s mod uses the fake light sources to convert into path traced sources. This is SS level change and not something done in engine. Think of how ENB or Reshade works. This is a plugin for Reahade. Your lighting mods will still work (and will still be recommended)
Community Shaders is also working on doing a complete swap of SSEs lighting system at the engine level that will not suffer from the massive bugs CE has and will be much more performance friendly than ENB Lights.
It’s a very exciting time for Skyrim modding!

200 iq move by facebook, now they have the biometric reading from the nail on your middle finger
Consider it a blessing.
Yes. I’ve searched manually for most of mine based on my people i follow on Twitter, they are not all there, and they will be missed. I’ve got a few mirrored accounts I’m following, but it’s not the end of the world if they get cut off from the blue bird (they are mostly sports team feeds). I have also gone back to RSS feeds for my news feed. I like the social aspect of Twitter, it’s just turned into a hate platform that scientifically exploits its users by making it addicting to doom scroll. And the interactions I’ve had on Mastadon/Lemmy are way more wholesome than there, fediverse really does remind me of the early days of Digg/Reddit/Twitter.
Agreed. Have been on Steam for almost 19 years. Nothing has really degraded as far as the service goes, and Valve’s approach to listening to community feedback is good. We’ve saw controversy, mainly Paid Mods and CS:GO gambling, both have been taken care of for the most part due to community pushback. I can’t think of a controversy that has made me want to leave the service though. With Reddit, it was a slow decline to its death on July 1st.
That’s a big nope from me lmao. Mastadon seems to have alot of the important accounts I follow from Twitter. Liking it so far, no algorithm playing with your feed, no corporate advertising (unless you subscribe to it), no blue checks spreading insane conspiracies.
It’s funny how Spez idolizes a guy who doesn’t pay his bills. It’s also funny watching the hate pplatform Twitter get absolutely destroyed by its owner. The internet in 2023 is a wild and crazily changing place.
While I definitely agree for desktop situation. The landscape for PC gaming has changed dramatically, there are some sub ~$1000 laptops that are not bad entry points. Same with the Steam Deck and ROG Ally, both are decent entry points for someone interested in PC gaming with not a massive budget.
