Sometimes it feels Lemmy community cares a bit too much about what happens on Reddit.
Let’s be honest, it is unlikely Reddit is going to die or change policy. And who cares.
I’m just happy there is much better alternative and I’m not looking back.
I guess for most it is just a habit to use Apps to access everything from phone. Most in-browser UIs usually suck anyway (or at least they used to).

would be curious to hear about it… I usually used web ui and only left reddit because of their approach of dealing with the community. Didn’t personally suffered any inconvenience due to api shenanigans.
I don’t think Fediverse should be divided according to political compass. Just start a community on any instance and find your people. I don’t think you will face any censorship if the discussion is kept civilized.
I have heard few supposedly right wing instances were defederated, but I don’t agree it happened because of their agenda. The true reason was an overall 4-chan like chaos and hatread.
