Really wish they had re-released 1 and 2 as a double pack similar to Pikmin 1+2. I guess they thought it was too soon to release the first again because of the 3DS remake. Although now that I think about it, they totally could have just made an HD version of the 3DS remake as well. It would’ve been nice to have the entire series on one device.
I understand the disappointment coming from longtime F-Zero fans. I haven’t played GX yet, so I was totally looking forward to a port of it myself. At the same time, this actually looks really fun. And as a hilarious (not really) bonus, since it wasn’t released on an anniversary, it won’t be delisted!
Holy crap. HOLY CRAP! HOOOOOOOOLY-
Literally replaying this game right now. One of my favorite Mario RPGs ever. I actually shed a tear watching the trailer lmao
I guessed correctly that Diddy Kong and Pauline would make it in, but I didn’t expect another Kong at the same time, AND Peachette as well. Anyways, nice for this game to FINALLY get its last bits of new content. Here’s to the next mario kart game.
Yeah but some of that stuff doesn’t really do anything for me. The depths are alright, the sky map is too empty, with most of the islands looking nearly the exact same, the caves all have the same look. The abilities are cool, crafting is cool, new characters are nice. I hate everything about korok seeds, and the Hudson puzzles can easily be cheesed to the point that you can use the same solution for almost all of them.
I only played BotW back in 2021, so that’s why I remember so much haha. I guess a break wouldn’t hurt.
Yeah, Mirror’s Edge is that first person parkour game. If you haven’t played it yet, I definitely recommend giving it a shot. I love how the levels flow, and I find myself getting a lot better every time I run through the game.
Playing Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. It’s sad, though. I’ve noticed my urge to play the game slowly drop more and more once I realized how much of the map, weapons, and music is borrowed from BotW. Sometimes, it feels like I’m just playing BotW 2.0 instead of a proper sequel. Still, I keep making progress.
Replaying Paper Mario TTYD. I really love this RPG and the Paper Mario series as a whole. Really hope we get a proper RPG for the next game in the series, with partners, badges and all that stuff.
I’m also replaying Mirror’s Edge. One of my favorite games, thanks to the setting and soundtrack. It still looks beautiful, despite it coming out in 2008.
It’s fantastic. If you’re new to the series, it’s the best game to start with due to how many items and gear are available to help you out. It’s also a great place to start story-wise too (even though these games’ stories aren’t important or big anyway) since it’s a retread of Pikmin 1’s story, but expands on it with more characters.
I can comfortably beat all games in the series, so difficulty-wise, I think it’s the easiest in the series. The game definitely becomes difficult in the dandori battles (where your efficiency skills are put to the test in a battle against a cpu to collect the most treasure).
As for downsides, this game has no true coop either, which is a bummer since Pikmin 3 Deluxe included this feature. The second player option in this game acts as a helper instead of controlling a full character. There are no difficulty options either, and a new game+ would be nice as well.
Overall, I give the game a 9.5/10.
Rayman Legends, a 2d platformer. Super fun. I also suggest trying a Pikmin game. The first 3 games are all on switch now, and you can also try out the demo for the 4th one.
My other suggestions:
It's hard to imagine "tense" action with how goofy the enemies act, so I guess the second option sounds better? I've never played Max Payne 3 or Uncharted 4, so I don't really know exactly what you mean.
