All it’d take is a gas tanker. The Caldecott Tunnel Fire killed seven, and that tunnel was nowhere as busy as something like the 401. Knowing how insane traffic is on that highway, there’d be no chance of escape from such an incident besides on foot. And you better hope you escape before the smoke gets you.

The police in Ontario are universally an absolute joke. It’s no better where I live. The cops would rather patrol the rich gated neighbourhoods looking to harass people who look out of place than deal with my city’s severe drug problems and constant arson and theft.
That requires the cops to actually put effort into investigating and, y’know, doing their jobs. Can’t have that. Far easier to harass the public over minor incidents instead.
I’ve always had the cases break before the phone did. They work very well and haven’t let me down.

It’s not a matter of if multiple Hexbear users will decide to harass you, it’s a matter of when. They start threads to summon other Hexbear users to “dunk on” people they disagree with.
Absolutely not. I will be switching instances if this happens. I have had nothing but bad experiences with Hexbear users and I do not wish to ever have to interact with such toxicity again. In case anyone has forgotten, their only reason to federate with other instances is to “dunk on liberals” and brigade to push a specific agenda. They specifically said as much back when they planned to federate with .world.
Picking them up will absolutely get you more spam calls. That proves to them that it’s an “active” number and you’ll get inundated with a bunch more calls. If it’s actually someone trying to reach me, they can leave a voicemail.
Even the cheapest, most bottom-of-the-barrel LCD monitors from 15 years ago seem to still be 60. Matching the refresh rate to AC cycles per second makes sense.

Even in the 70s and 80s they were coming up with cooler names for consoles, like the Magnavox Odyssey and the Intellivision. Atari named a bunch of their consoles after big cats, though they didn’t live up to their names. At least there was some imagination.
I make a point of tagging whoever does this shit. You can tell who has an agenda because they appear in every single thread (sometimes not even related to politics) to spread their disinformation. Thankfully someone usually calls them out, but they’ll just go to another thread and do the same thing again.
