Small addition: I unsubscribed like many others from 1Password because with version 8 even they switched from native to Electron. This is just crazy.

I mean guys, frickin think about people who can’t afford recent hardware! Do we really want Electron and thus Chromium/Google to force us to buy 1000€+ hardware to be able to do things?

And thus cripples battery life.

I only use things like Discord in Safari and Firefox to not have to use the Electron app.

I really don’t get how everything has to use web UI. SwiftUI is really easy to learn and you can run this on any Apple platform. Flutter is a mess but you can run it on Android. GTK looks just gorgeous and Qt can run on everything but ChromeOS (like 99% of things). Is it really too much to ask for 3 more developers in a company that build native?

Ich habe sehr viel schon ausprobiert, aber mittlerweile bin ich bei Debian Stable. Arch war lange Zeit mein Favorit, aber manchmal habe ich das Notebook 2 Wochen nicht benutzt und dann lief alles mit Updates Amok. Selbiges mit Manjaro

Fedora hat mir auch sehr getaugt, aber der Paketmanager ist einfach super langsam.

Und aktuell halt eben Debian. Erst ohne Desktop installiert und dann manuell gnome-core installiert, weil der volle Desktop mit zu vielen Anwendungen kommt. (Ja, seit meiner Arch Phase ist jedes Programm, dass ich nicht aktiv brauche, bloat.)

Edit: außerdem will ich alles, was möglich ist, als Flatpak haben. Also muss ich so nur 5 Programme austauschen mit gnome-core Methode.

Does anyone know how to convert this into a Userscript? I use Userscripts (a Tampermonkey reimplementation for Safari) and I did not get it to work.
