Well give it some thought, why be disappointed it didnt work out with people you weren’t compatible with?
Give yourself some credit, you aren’t being rejected in the way you think.

If you need to use long term disability you do. Also some workplaces ask for a doctors note for multiple days sick.
You don’t have to give a personal reason. Just say “sick” and hang up.
Thanks for the reference, ever heard of that game!
Well you did just state my first point in more words, so yes I agree, since artists aren’t getting paid in most cases anyways, stealing their work is sort of morally grey, but mostly because its not their work anymore.
But thats not true across the board, and its impossible to know which companies are the ones that do treat their employees well enough that it would affect them to steal it.
So why don’t we maybe repair that bond between an artist and their work so that it makes sense not to steal art from people again? Copyright could be changed to do this couldn’t it?
My guess is its too expensive to convert it to free to play now, it would just be taking another huge risk and throwing away money.
Considering they are refunding all purchases, it definitely would have but they rolled the dice and this is what they got.
Those aren’t re-skins though, they just used the battle royals game type as their main game type.
I can’t really think of a similar game to fortnite before it in regards to the combination of building and competitive shooter, although I’m sure someone can point out an early example, and Apex is smashing together counterstrike and maybe overwatch or something similar for the gameplay.
Personally I don’t think apex would have worked if it just looked like a re-skin but its got a lot of great artwork and the level designs are interesting at least to me.
Also fortnite has become the everything game, they have Lego and rocket racing and a guitar hero minigame, its sort of gone wild IMO.
Its hard to justify stealing entertainment. Most arguments are centered around the fact the artist usually makes almost nothing so you aren’t even paying them for it.
Copyright makes sense to protect creativity to an extent, until we figure out some other way artists can make a living.
Most people just say don’t look desperate.
