I thought that, too, but it turns out they have nothing to worry about. I think putting smartphones in everyone’s face bought them a hundred years.

Tuna. I’m in the midwest. I’ve lived on the west coast. I just assumed “tuna fish” was an east coast thing.
I’ve got a feeling they won’t know what flavor it is, but I might start asking patients what flavor they want, from now on. Thanks for the idea!
I work in Radiology, and have to do Barium enemas, frequently. As much as we love the humor, we strive to keep it medical, with patients. We all know it sucks, can feel embarrassing, etc, but we’re just trying to get the job done with the best pictures. Your physical body is kind of secondary to what our goal is.
Tony Hawk was a big one. The EA sports games always have some bangers that get stuck in your head. One of my favorite video game moments, though, was bombing the tobacco fields to Bomba Estereo’s “Fuego”, in Far Cry 6. They employed music well, throughout, but that moment was really enveloping.
"Donald Trump is a poor man’s idea of a rich man, a weak man’s idea of a strong man, and a dumb man’s idea of a smart man.”
Gosling, too. Jim Carrey repped us really well, more than most of them, though Mike Meyers is up there, also.
Just getting into his collection. What a gem.
Are you talking about 7? Don’t remember if that was the building number, but the one that wasn’t hit? I assume you don’t mean the twin towers.
You don’t wear your compass? How do you know where to go?
Raised in a Pentecostal church, which made the real world really hard to deal with. Ended up in public school, which started opening my eyes. Not in the classroom, just in the halls. Joined the Army. Met people from all walks. Saw the failings of policy while in Iraq.
I went back and looked at a few things, and realized some of the subs have gone sideways. There’s no balance, and one side has taken control of the narrative. This is especially true of Ukraine war type subs, and other political stuff. I don’t care about reddit, anymore, but an echo chamber is good for nobody.
Sorry, what was that last part? You trailed off.
For me, adults, because we have a lockdown unit where prisoners are kept for care. That unit is a great place to be, if you’re having a hard time in prison, so you might ingest or shove something where you shouldn’t. If I go only by ER visits, I’d think it was much closer to 50/50, but I still think 60/40 adults to kids.
EDIT - The adults risk horrifying embarrassment while the parents of the kids risk jail time if they don’t go in and something awful happens, not to mention the loss of your child, which is the main driver for most people. The adults risk death, too, but it’s their own death.
Someone on lemmy put me onto Improve the News, which also has an app. Links to various outlets and papers around the world, and is transparent about where the news comes from. Possibly the best I’ve ever seen.
Sorry, I meant those foreign bodies. Adults. Toys, cucumbers, etc.
I work in X-ray. Get a foreign object like once every two weeks. Good times.
I was with you until the last sentence.
This is basically how I think of it. I know states aren’t one thing, all the way through, but I categorize Kentucky with TN, NC, and WV. There are parts of OH that are basically KY, and NC gets much different further east, but generally, it makes sense. Definitely not midwest. Clearly not Southeast, despite UK being in the SEC.
Third for Palm Springs. I thought it was gonna be a mindless watch when I threw it on, so maybe low expectations helped.
