Ha, I just came here to post this! It’s seriously cool, and the Navajo’s history in the semiconductor industry is something I never knew about.
I would love a rug like that.

This is such an incredibly dumb idea. If this “storage method” was to gain any traction, Google would figure out how to shut it down, either by banning accounts (removing all your data) or worse, instituting a policy of removing videos that don’t reach a certain view threshold. Not to mention, encoding data this way is inefficient as hell.
Just pay a few dollars for reliable storage, whether from Google or Proton or whoever you like.
Perhaps, but Nintendo also seems happy to let people forget that the Wii U ever existed. Also, they seem to not care as much about non-piracy/CFW releated hardware mods- take the 3DS capture card as an example, AFAIK it was never targeted by Nintendo since it very clearly was not meant to facilitate piracy.
You took too much. That can happen with any drug when you don’t have a tolerance built up and take too large of a dose.
Of all the drugs you could take to help with autism symptoms, nicotine is one of the worst. Any benefits it might have are nothing compared to just how chemically addictive it is. There are many, many better options for helping with anxiety, both prescription and “experimental”. I’d really advise against trying nicotine again, it really isn’t worth it.
That’s true, but this is also ensuring that people can vet whatever they get out of an AI and make sure it isn’t just hallucinated garbage
They don’t actually provide decryption keys, the user has to either extract them from their own Switch or find them elsewhere online. However, it could be argued by Nintendo that using an unreleased game ROM for testing proves that the devs themselves were guilty of piracy, and were therefore somehow condoning the use of their emulator for piracy.
Either way, we won’t know how well Nintendo’s arguments would have held up in court, because the devs settled rather than fight it out.
It was a settlement. The devs decided, for reasons that are not public, that it would be easier to just pay Nintendo some money and take down the emulator than to fight them in court. It’s very possible (even likely) that they figured it would be more expensive to fight Nintendo’s lawyers than to just pay a fixed amount up front.
Assuming I’m understanding correctly, only a few states allow people to vote in a primary for a party that they’re not registered as. Honestly, I’m not sure why any states still allow that, because I wouldn’t want any registered Republicans voting in the Democratic primary any more than the other way around.
I have a 500/500 fiber connection, so generally a torrent download is the only thing that can actually make use of the entire capacity. So, I usually cap download speeds at 350Mbps as to not choke out the rest of my devices, but I leave upload uncapped because it never reaches high enough to have a noticable effect.
What we REALLY need to do is limit the concentration of nicotine in vape juices to no higher than that found in a “standard” cigarette. Part of the problem right now is that you can easily buy vape juice with waaaay more nicotine per puff than any tobacco product so it’s much easier to get addicted.
Anker’s peripherals have always worked great for me
You know that you don’t have to declare copyright in every comment you make, yeah? All I can think of is the "Tryin’ to make a change :-/" SMS signature meme.
Have fun consuming media then
The glass transition temperature (the temperature where plastic starts to become malleable) of PETG is 85°C, so if you put a PETG spoon in boiling water, it would deform and become pretty useless. However, if you used a high temperature plastic with a glass transition point above 100°C, you might be able to get away with this method.
Also, just to clarify, a dishwasher does not get to 100°C. You could use it to get the initial food off, but you would then need to boil the utensils manually on a stove to actually sterilize them.
How would that affect battery life? The battery would charge a little slower since some power is being used by the screen, but the slower charging would actually improve battery life slightly.
That actually sounds like a pretty cool job! I only said something because unfortunately a lot of people tend to use that fact to put down reusable bags, which sucks because even though they’re far from perfect, they’re still the better alternative (assuming you don’t buy a new one every time you go to the store).
It’s important to note though that emissions are not the only thing to consider. My state banned single-use plastic bags a few years ago, and the number of them you see caught in trees or thrown away as litter has dropped to almost zero.
Plus, I think you could absolutely use those bags 400 times if you make good use of them. A few of the ones I have are from at least a decade ago and have probably been used far more times than that.
A link to a different page that happens to have a download for something copyrighted is not itself DMCA-able. Well, in theory you could DMCA anything you want, and some companies are way too overzealous about it and fall into the “abusing the system” category, but I can’t imagine that this post would ever fall under their spotlight.
If anything, the Internet Archive would be served the DMCA request, because they’re the ones actually hosting the game files.
I’m currently in engineering undergrad and this looks like it’ll be a lifesaver. Wolfram Alpha can do some pretty good work with units sometimes. But a lot of the time it’ll do weird stuff like refuse to interpret “V” as “volt”, so you have to type out the full name of every single unit. This language should handle that a million times better.
They totally might have figured something out. Hell, they could have gotten a hold of some of Sony’s original disc-pressing hardware to reproduce the copy protection. It really is the Wild West when it comes to these retailers
