I didn’t believe you, so I looked up those cases. While there’s a little more nuance to the cases than your summaries, you are pretty spot on. We are all cursed with this disgraceful knowledge now.

I like to think back to when I was a young lad, making fun of old people. The ones who got angry reinforced my naïve perspectives, and the ones who took it in stride with humility taught me to not be so judgemental.

It’s hard, but we millennials have to exemplify humility for the younger generations, even though we didn’t have many role models ourselves.

Most LotR memes make me chuckle, smirk, and think, “You sunovagun… You’ve done it again…” And a few are even able to make me cackle like a cursed Théoden.

I was looking for where the AI made a mistake and could find none. A real person spent many hours concepting and crafting this real thing, foregoing basic human needs, like rest and socialization. I had forgotten how scary human ambition could be.

Agreed! I was mildly pleased by some of the bean memes, but this kind of clever but absurd wordplay really flicks my bean.

Highly recommend getting back into reading. I stopped reading books for a while and completely forgot the joy of it. Don’t be disappointed if your reading discipline isn’t what it used to be. It’s like a muscle and I am still in the process of re-training it.

One of the best tools that helped me was signing up for my library’s digital service (Libby). It’s so easy and accessible that it kind of blew my mind. I also invested in a refurbished backlit e-reader that could display the epub files that I borrowed from the library… Utter magic!

Unpopular opinion: it should stay a little bit slow. Every other commercialized platform trains us for immediate gratification.
