I don’t think buying all this equipment is better for the environment than just burying the scrap material in a landfill.

Seems like a total waste. That buys a tremendous amount of filament. I don’t think even print farms do it. There are so many filament companies out there that the margins have to be razor thin.
So does my dog, this isn’t news.
If you can afford it just nuy a stepper motor neman 17 make sure the connector is the same. Get a 3 pack they are all the same.
Are you sure it isn’t brittle filament from being left out and getting “damp”.
Lol nice ty.
They’ve changed A LOT for one they aren’t made of wood anymore. This isn’t an old ender. It’s made of mdf!
“Fewer vitamins”
What does that mean? I’ve been 3d printing a few years never heard that before.
Oh man slashdot takes me back
There is post processing g code manipulation. Abl works this way, as does arc welder. If your bed is high on one spot there has to be some sort of manipulation after cura.
I have been testing the marlin input shaper. One thing I wish it had was the ability to monitor the vibration instead of the arbitrary calibrated eyeball choosing what part of the test print looks the best.
I have an ender I don’t ever make adjustments. I can almost always just print remotely. What adjustments are you doing? Granted it took a while to mod mine with bl touch and a new board and new extruder drive.
Maybe an entire remote desktop thing would be easier.
Sounds good I’ll be over. 🤣
If you use something like tinkercad you can hold both objects in the same spot and export them one at a time. They will in turn populate the same position in cura.
That was a decent movie lol. Did it end with the tech guy making a computer virus to share the story?
Nice. Klipper is great if you have a pi laying around
At least it’s easy. The federation stuff isn’t super important. I understand it now, but that understanding hasn’t caused me to change or use lemmy differently.
Now add in the price of the machine and you will need a way to dry the pellets if you don’t use it immediately. I really want this to be a thing but I just don’t see it being economical… It might be fun however to make custom filaments.
