I personally think people “should” use the downvote feature on comments that are objectively false, are unrelated to the topic of discussion or on troll/harmful comments
I wouldn’t call it a mass exodus, it’s more like a slow and gradual exodus that has started and will keep on happening as Reddit will continue to burn itself down

there was this hotel we always used to go to with my family during vacation, nothing exceptional but it was pretty cool. Then one year, for whatever reason, our two rooms were full of worms, on the floor, walls, curtains…they were everywhere. I don’t think we’ve ever went back after that year
yup, I also find myself lurking here a lot too. When I was on Reddit, I’d usually comment on a bunch of niche subreddits and avoid commenting on subs similar to the communities that are currently growing here on the fediverse haha. I’m trying to change that tho, I’d like to contribute as much as I can so this place can keep growing bigger
I came up with it when I created my second acc on Reddit; I didn’t want to spend time thinking of a username so I just thought of the first two words that described my mood at the time and went with it. It means “melancholic potato”, I like how dumb it sounds
