I think it can be very beneficial, it might take a while to find someone you work well with, so don’t give up if you don’t like the first person. I recommend trying Psychology Today’s therapist finder online!

People will tell you a lot if you pay attention. People ask me all the time “how did you know…?” but they told me, either in behavior or mannerisms or whatever. Just be observant and you’ll pick up a lot more than people know they’re letting on.
