I have the same setup with SE working. Why does it fail to run on your system? Did you install protontricks like it said in the MO2 installer readme?
Fair.
Reddit? Or the project’s page?
TOP OR BIG SITUATION
League is actually working fine, it just had a bug last month. I’ve been playing for 2 years on Linux exclusively and it was unplayable for max 2 weeks.
Honestly: Any Ubuntu Fork (such as Mint, Kubuntu, etc) is fine, Arch as well(but harder). Vanilla Ubuntu is ok.
This is not the definitive answer, and you should reevaluate after a time, what you like and don’t like, but for a starter, give those a spin.
Well, I guess that is exactly the problem: No guarantee that some method will work.
I disagree on the painful part. The lutris install is basically 1-click.
Does https://www.protondb.com/app/1250410 help?
Thank you so much! We Linux gamers have to stick together!!
I can't help you with the topic at hand, but consider posting your experience here: https://www.protondb.com/app/835960?device=any
It is a huge database for all games available on steam. So far, no one has made any reviews, but if you get it working, please write there how (you can include --start-options, drivers, distro etc.). Even if it is not working, write that and what you tried already. This way other people can spend more time on trying to get it working without doing the same steps all over again.
Also, it might be worth checking out in a few days when more people have added their workarounds and comments. Usually, this takes 1-2 weeks.
I can provide nothing specifically to the topic at hand, but a great resource is ProtonDB (here the CS2 specific page). You can see which launch options, workarounds, etc work on which distro, GPU, …
If you get it working, consider posting there, so others can benefit from your knowledge 😀
Thanks! I just ran vulkaninfo
and it's there. Btw: You can check your version apparently with vulkaninfo | grep driverInfo
.
What does that mean for my RX 5600XT?
While it can be somewhat cynical to play out environmental vs social issues, I agree with the scepticism here.
