TL;DW the stuttering is also present on console and doesn’t appear to be shader compilation.
The switch to unreal has been removed/leaked for a while, I guess it’s just to put the rumours to bed and set some expectations going forward (mostly that infinite is on life support, if you haven’t already figured that out).
Yup I’m with you here. I love KBM and it’s my preferred way to play for most games, but when it comes to driving I’d much prefer a controller with analogue triggers and a stick (unless it’s a sim racer, in which case a wheel of course) for that extra precision.
Unfortunately I can’t think of a good design to give that level of control to just one hand. Analogue keys are a thing but they sound awful, nowhere near enough precision due to the short travel of them.
I thought this was dumb as fuck, but I think I understand what Microsoft is trying to do here.
What might not be obvious is that this “Windows” app is for iOS, Android and Linux - yes, it’s a replacement for remote desktop but it’s specifically a remote desktop app to connect to Windows machines.
So while I still this this rebranding is entirely unnecessary, I can see that they are trying to clearly distinguish “I’m not on windows and I need to do something on windows so I’ll use the windows app for that” .
It also means less confusion when “remote desktop” doesn’t let you connect to your Mac or whatever.

It’s generally fine, the vast majority of applications are fine with it, it’s mainly the legacy shit that falls over.
You can also enable it on a per directory basis, and I’ve yet to encounter a Dev tool that has issues with it. Same for the path limit, you can have long paths enabled too.
You can enable case sensitivity in windows. It’s only disabled by default.
Andromeda’s gunplay was better but the gameplay as a whole was worse. The switch to an open world system wasn’t handled well, you ended up with too mooch filler and not enough interesting story.
It felt like every side quest in ME1-3 was a little story in its own right that was worth exploring, with interesting and unique characters and plot twists. Andromeda was shallow by comparison, repetitive and not worth the time investment.
I completely agree about fans ruining things and the facial animations thing was way overblown, but let’s not pretend that Andromeda was unfairly punished for minor issues and that fans are entirely responsible for it, there core game missed the mark on several fronts.
The gunplay was excellent though.
And as a Poly person myself, let me just say that that’s perfectly okay and you should be proud of yourself for accepting who you are.
Because the time to learn a new operating system is more than I have to spare. I’m approaching middle aged, windows is familiar and I just want to kick back and enjoy my games.
Linux hasn’t reached drop-in replacement on the desktop yet. The steam deck is fantastic and I have no problems running it stock, but desktop Linux? Nah. Why would I dual boot when I can stick to one OS that does what I want and need.
(Side note: I run Linux on my server and am quite happy with it).
TNG’s the inner light is one of its best episodes and it spectacularly fails this test.
Why does it make you angry?
What a real shame, the red faction franchise would have been great this generation. We have ample power to really show off some cool destruction physics, but no
In fairness, that scene with the destroyers was fucking awesome. Fuck the canon, it looked cool as fuck.

… Am I the only one who doesn’t have a problem calling it “peasant class”? It’s the kind of slang I’d use and I always fly economy.
