Heavy Rain looks for sure outdated, but the story is really nice. If you accept that the control are a bit tricky and think it more like a movie it can be quite enjoyable

Not sure it would run on steam deck but have a loop to Heavy Rain, Beyond Two Soul and Detroit Become Human from Quantic Dreams

Answering to 2 - signal is a bit like Viber, WhatsApp etc, but the message and metadata are encrypted from end to end, meaning signal servers can’t know exactly the content. WhatsApp included this few months ago, but not on the metadata only the content of a message
