For normal civilian stuff then sure, more safeties the better. For military stuff that is only suppose to be handled/operated by trained personnel then it’s less of an issue and that text is a helpful reminder or even instructional. In an irregular combat situation there might be a reason they want to fire this and that text lets them know how.

They’re bigger than I thought they’d be. I also saw a red one just recently which isn’t a color available on the website(for a staggering $6-6.5K). So that person went and wrapped it in bright red on their own…oof.
Mine is still in the envelope it came in nearly 40 years ago and is still attached to the perforated paper card. Why carry it with you and destroy it? I’ve never on a whim needed to show it to anyone.

I’d be curious to know what the default mode is. I couldn’t really find it online and it looks like games can override the console settings anyway.
If performance mode is the default then I’d imagine people just can’t be bothered to change it. If it’s not the default then I’d imagine people changed it to performance mode cause one game ran poorly and then couldn’t be bothered to change it again. People just want to play most of the time. Not dig through menus.
