So yeah, start with what you’re building and what its requirements are.
It would be desktop. I mostly want to add front end to some stuff I would CLI to round out my skills. I’ve not seen much about Rust and GUI framework. I’ve got some Java experience, but read that its native Java FX is deprecated now. I’ve done a lot in Python, but also want to start learning a language that might be more suited to enterprise work. I honesty am not sure were I’m at. But thanks for your answer
I’m a bit if a python guy but I’m split between java and up and coming rust for employment purposes.
The matplot lib thing sounds really cool. I used to use python a lot.
That’s the thing, I don’t know enough to know what to even ask.
Fair enough.
I have no idea what PATH is or why I want to do that, but I can do it
Its really only for non standard installs. That is outside of the package manager or flatpak. PATH
is just where the computer will look for executables. Since you installed from source or some other side then it won’t be in the normal /bin
. You’re just updating your PATH
to include other places.
What exactly are you trying to do?
I’ve always felt good about using Ubuntu and derivatives. I get their opinions and they have some good points, but I’m not sure why I’d let that change my flow.
Okay grandpa its past your bedtime
Long pork is often a euphemism for people meat.
A big part is kinda just doing it. I am trying to learn and it is kinda wild. I am currently working a warehouse job so it is hard to find the time. Try and go back and implement some of your favorite homework assignments in Rust.
I think a hard part of Rust is the mind shift. It just feels very different from anything else I have tired. I am doing some encapsulation for my learning, but it is not clear where to read about it and there are few examples out there.
I kinda alternate between vscode and vim. Just depending on how I feel. Never really thought of branching out as other things feel too much. Like I tried pycharm and was not sure where the community stuff ended and where the professional started (free in uni). Netbeans was alright for a class. Sublime was cool, but I didn’t do anything special.
In Texas. Would confirm, but I’m in a traffic shoot out.
I’d cock her shotgun.
Makes you sing and dance jingle into webcam.
Watching. This is before he switched to LFS
Kinda sad. I’m sure Jeff would have been more involved with you.
In the US its a uniform for the “don’t touch me my dad is a lawyer” club.
I’ve never heard of it, thanks!
