Interac AFAIK used to be a nonprofit, but few years back became a for profit corporation. While I’m happy for the option, I’d stick with paper/metal where possible if CCs weren’t a thing.

Credit cards are the issue for me. An unnecessary third party skimming money (not to mention data) out of every transaction we make.
I can’t NOT use them though, since the cash back can be too good to pass up. If credit cards were regulated into irrelevance I’d be almost 100% on cash.
Anything to keep us arguing so they don’t have to fix the housing crisis

The Fast and Furious movies continue to get better and better as they release new ones. The stupider, the better. I’m even sure the titles are being named as stupidly as possible on purpose for the memes.
I sincerely hope 11 is titled “1 Fast 1 Furious” or something.
I gotta say, the percentage of meta posts here about reddit/Lemmy compared to any other content is really hurting its chances.
Even during the protests, it felt like the percentage of posts on reddit about reddit was maybe 50%. Here it’s 75% or more. We need more normal content on the front of /all, or else this entire site becomes c/lemmycirclejerk or something. I’m hoping as the migration completes we return to more typical content.
Yooka-Laylee hit that sub $5 sale I’ve been waiting for. Its really does have the charm, which is good because it still has some wild issues (imagine no remappable keybinds in 2023).
