I have a 2017 Nissan versa and it's like a fleet trim or something. No power anything (locks or windows) no computer touch screen system, not even a chipped key! Manual transmission and gets almost 40mpg. What you want is out there, it's just hard to find because the car manufacturers won't make as much margin on them.

If the programmers have any competence, the update will just fail and you'll have to restart the process.

I'm just disappointed they didn't do the proper conversion from USD to GBP. Should only be about £6.50!

Funny, in all honesty, and I don’t mean to be rude or anything, but it sounds like you’re creating your own problem here. You’ve got a self fulfilling prophecy kind of thing happening where you’re already determined to have a terrible time going out to eat with friends/colleagues so you ensure that’s exactly what happens.

Try to be more easy going and patient, and try to make a connection with those around you. Going out to eat is rarely about the food, it’s about the company. And I agree, small talk is insufferable, but it helps establish a base from which you can launch into more significant or more intimate subjects of discussion. It’s a hoop to have to jump though in order to earn the rewards of camaraderie.

Not weighing in on the other stuff, but I would disagree with the statement that art is political by its very nature. I think it really depends on the art.

The MA1 is not worth the trouble. It is soooo finicky. I’ve had to factory reset and re-setup on multiple occasions from things as simple as walking out of range.

After me and my daughter spent a full hour trying to get any of our phones to reconnect to the damn thing, I had had it and sent the thing back to Amazon and got my $100 back. Much happier just using a cable again.
