I’ve only played a couple hours so far. I just thought I hadn’t figured out how to access the maps not that they didn’t exist…

Hard to say for sure, but one of my favorites is Amos Burton from The Expanse. I don’t know if he was meant to be anyone’s favorite given his personality and violent nature, but I love him anyway.
Pixelfed is the one i’m hoping for too. I follow a few people on there, but it would be nice if anyone I knew used it.
I got this same email. Of course the only domains I own are .com and .xyz. Going to lock in as many years as I can before September.
I finally started looking into emulating on my phone, so I’ve been playing some games from my childhood. Mostly Alleyway and Pokemon Red, with a little Harvest Moon thrown in.
Yea, I have extreme fomo when it comes to hobbies, so i inevitable “have” to upgrade. I think it’s better I stick to my coffee. But, it’s nice to know I can start lower if I ever change my mind.
I’ve purposely avoided getting into espresso because my wife already thinks i’m crazy for wanting to spend $6-700 on a new grinder and drip machine when our current ones “work fine”.
I was having a hard time anyway, but after reading through all the comments, I don’t think I could narrow it down.
If I had to try, it would be, in no particular order:
The Matrix
Princess Bride
Fight Club
Shawshank Redemption
The Boondock Saints
The Incredibles
…
Actually, I can’t narrow it down…lol
My wife made me watch it one day, and I’ve lost count of how many times we have seen it since.
My wife and I have been working our way through Studio Ghibli movies for the first time. So far we have seen Howl’s Moving Castle, Spirited Away, and Kiki’s Delivery service. Thoroughly enjoyed them all, but i’d say Spirited Away was me least favorite so far.
Not sure exactly why, but I feel like all 3 of them could have benefitted from some extra runtime. Parts just feel rushed to me. Or maybe I just don’t want them to end. Lol
Every time I see Jurassic Park, i’m amazed how well the effects hold up. Just such a great movie all around.
I’ve been listening to Cary Elwes’ book “As You Wish” on audiobook. I haven’t finished it yet, but i’m loving it so far.
Stardust is way better than the premise would lead someone to believe. Such a good movie. Although, every time I watch it, I end up having to watch Princess Bride too.
I have the app, but haven’t really used it much. I put most things into my linkding instance and forget about it. Lol.
Maybe I should start with Omnivore first to keep from clogging up my bookmarks.
I’ve been selfhosting for almost a year, and I’m still on the lookout for anything I can host.
I’ve reached a point where if I don’t have a use for something, i’ll still try to make an unraid template if there isn’t one. Just to install it and try it out. Lol
I want that router, but I don’t have a good reason to give my wife why our RB4011 needs to be upgraded…lol
You may feel like you’re doing fine now but there may be a point where things change and your capacity is reduced. This is where knowing you’re neurodivergent can be helpful
Thank you for this! My GP doesn’t think I have ADHD because I can hold down a job. He asked me at my last appointment, “So, you still want to try and get on ADHD meds?”
I didn’t know how to word that I don’t just want a diagnosis for meds. I want to know what I’m working with so I can get whatever help I need, when I need it.
Extremely simple! It’s literally just a few screws and unplug the old one and put in the new. Took all of 10 minutes and at least half of that was trying to find my small screwdriver bits. Lol
My use case sounds similar to yours, so I’d second the T480. I got one 7-8 months ago, and it’s been great so far. Only thing I changed was I put in a backlit keyboard.
I don’t know any general laptop communities. At leasr not ones with any activity, but [email protected] seems relatively active.
If you ever need to find a community, https://lemmyverse.net/communities is a decent place to start.
I used syncthing for a while. Then tried github with mostly terrible results. Now i’m back on syncthing. It involves a little bit of setup, but i mostly forget about it now. It just works.
