They always have done this, even before there was a wider understanding / acceptance of neurodiversity (e.g. at Bletchley Park)
I understand the anxiety but realistically don’t think you need to worry - autism would be a protected characteristic under most legal systems, right? You don’t choose to have autism so it’s not like drug use where there’s at least some degree of choice involved.
Two meetings a day sounds like luxury to me! I don’t have ADHD but meetings still absolutely kill my productivity. The switching penalty for technical tasks is much higher than non-technical people realise.
Just a small note that the businesses only have to open source their version if they release it. If they just use it internally then they don’t have to distribute the source code. So it depends on the use case.

What kind of games are you into?
I haven’t chosen cutting edge hardware (AMD Ryzen 5 5600X and AMD Radeon RX 6650 XT) so I don’t think drivers should be an issue in my particular case.
I think separating /home is a good idea so I can try some different distros and compare.
Was it that the PDF produced by latex was less OCR friendly than the word one, or just that you didn’t submit the PDF at all most of the time?
I guess if you trained a program to OCR PDFs that are produced by word it might get really good at that and less good at PDFs from other sources.
I’m curious if your CV font was computer modern?
