I had the idea that this was their main source of income, am I wrong? Anyway why would anyone be upset about it being removed? As I recall everyone hated the fact that awards were paid.
Even if it’s not a source of revenue, why would they get rid of it?
I liked the idea more than advertising to be honest. But it felt weird voluntarily giving them money while they were using ads too. Ever since I cancelled my last cable tv in the mid 2000s I refuse to pay for anything with ads.
